Taking place across multiple locations in Seaton, the festival promises a full day of live music, street entertainment, pirate-themed activities, market stalls, performances and swashbuckling fun for all ages.

The festival celebrates Seaton’s coastal heritage while bringing together local businesses, community groups, performers and visitors for a truly memorable weekend by the sea.
A highlight of the festival will be a headline performance from pirate folk-rock favourites The Captain’s Beard at The Gateway Theatre, bringing high-energy sea shanties and festival atmosphere to the town.
Festival-goers can also enjoy pirate adventures aboard the famous Seaton Tramway, with themed pirate tram experiences travelling through the beautiful Axe Estuary.
A Festival for the Whole Community
The Seaton Pirate Festival is designed to be a fun, inclusive and community-led event. Local organisations, schools, venues, performers and businesses are encouraged to get involved and help create activities, entertainment and fundraising opportunities throughout the weekend.
Whether you arrive dressed as a pirate captain, a fearless smuggler or a shipwrecked sailor, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
So hoist the Jolly Roger, gather your crew and join us in Seaton for a weekend of music, laughter, adventure and pirate mischief on the Jurassic Coast.

Roundabout - Remembrance Memorial and Christmas Tree
Each year, the structure on the Seaton roundabout serves two important purposes for our community.
During October and November, the display stands as a Remembrance Memorial, providing a focal point for reflection and remembrance in honour of those who have served and sacrificed for our country. The memorial offers residents and visitors a place to pause, remember, and pay their respects during the Remembrance period.
As December arrives, the structure is carefully transformed into an illuminated Christmas tree, bringing festive spirit and seasonal cheer to Seaton throughout the Christmas period. The lighting display has become a well-loved local feature, helping to brighten the town and create a welcoming atmosphere for residents, visitors, and local businesses alike.
This dual-purpose installation reflects both the community’s respect for remembrance and its celebration of the festive season, making it a meaningful and valued part of Seaton’s annual calendar.
The Seaton Chamber is proud to support and maintain this community display, and we thank everyone who contributes their time, effort, and generosity to help make it possible each year.
